Part 1: A General Survey The Essential Factors of Production The principle of all economy consists in obtaining the relative maximum result from the least relative effort. This economic law should be sufficient in itself to combat and reject the present order of capitalism because, quite contrary to obtaining the maximum result from a minimum effort, the waste is enormous; the utilization of natural resources and technical facilities and science is negligible. We do not live as we could live — as we should live! What are the factors of production? First: Nature, which furnishes man with raw material and certain natural forces. Second: Human Labor, manual and intellectual, which elaborates and util... (From: TheAnarchistLibrary.org.)

Part One: Background “The following map is intended to give a general picture of the areas of anarchist influence in Spain. Strongholds were in areas of Andalusia (which was early in the war conquered by the fascists), Aragon, Catalonia, and sections of the Levant. There were isolated pockets elsewhere; particularly in Castile and Asturias.” Chapter 1: The Spanish Revolution The Two Revolutions by Sam Dolgoff The Spanish Revolution of 1936–1939 came closer to realizing the ideal of the free stateless society on a vast scale than any other revolution in history, including the aborted Russian Revolution of 1917.[11] In fact, they were two very different kinds of revolution. Abad de Santillón ceased his collaboration with the government and later wrote the following article, “Apropos of Our Li... (From: TheAnarchistLibrary.org.)

Santillán was also one of the organizers of the popular militias in Catalonia, and later one of the anarchists who participated as a minister in the Catalan government. The inexorable military conspiracy—Our liaison with the Generalitat—The events of July 19 in Barcelona July 19 has a place of honor in the modern political history of Spain. On the night of July 6–7 of 1822 Ferdinand VII attempted to carry out a bloody coup against the Constitution that he had accepted and against the popular militia to which he owed his restoration to the throne of Spain. He failed due to the heroic action of the militiamen who fought against the Royal Guard; the following year, however, he succeeded in executing his program, plunging Spain into a maelstrom of martyrdom and grief until his death. It was in July 1854 when the people of Madrid experienced the indelible events of their struggle against ... (From: TheAnarchistLibrary.org.)
